Step 1: Sign Up
- Dates: July 15, 2025 - August 11, 2025 (project submission close date)
- Visit the Official Landing Page (https://accelerator.openxai.org/ ) and complete the sign-up form.
- After signing up, you’ll receive email updates with next steps, event invites, and resources.
- Join our Discord server (OpenxAI Builders) to connect with other participants, mentors, and organizers.
Step 2: Join Our Orientation
- Dates: July 19 (finished) & TBA
- Register at our Discord server
- Recordings will be available for those who miss the live events.
- These sessions are highly recommended to understand the Accelerator and learn strategies to win.
Step 3: Choose Your Track
Select one of the 9 exciting tracks that align with your interests and skills. Each track focuses on a unique application of AI:

| Vision | Build AI apps for image recognition, object detection, or video analysis. |
| Enviro | Develop AI solutions for environmental challenges like climate modeling or wildlife tracking. |
| HealthTech | Innovate in healthcare with AI for medical image analysis or disease prediction. |
| FinTech | Build AI tools for finance, such as fraud detectors or predictive market analyzers. |
| LearnAI | Develop AI-powered educational tools like personalized tutors or automated grading systems. |
| Social Network | Build AI apps to enhance social interactions with smarter recommendations or content curation. |

Step 4: Start Building
- Date: July 25, 2025 onwards
- Begin working on your project, either solo or with a team. Teams are encouraged but not required.
- Post your project idea in the Discord forum (#app-showcase) to get feedback from mentors and peers, ensuring alignment with the hackathon’s scope and Australian Hack Node KPIs.
Step 5: Set Up Your Development Environment
- Clone the OpenxAI Accelerator App Submissions Repository: [[invalid url, do not cite]].
- Create a new branch: git checkout -b your-project-name (replace your-project-name with a short, unique name).
- Follow the README instructions (global-accelerator-2025/README.md at main · OpenxAI-Network/global-accelerator-2025 · GitHub) for setup, using NextJS, Python, and tools like Nix, Ollama, and Cursor AI.
- Use your preferred code editor or vibe coding platform to start building.
Step 6: Build and Test Your App
- Develop your AI application based on your chosen track and idea.
- Test your app locally to ensure it runs smoothly and is demo-ready.
- Use resources like the GitHub repo’s vibe code, app demo code, and five provided demo apps for inspiration.
Step 7: Submit Your App
- Dates: July 25 – August 12, 2025
- Finalize your project to ensure it runs locally and is ready for demo.
- Record a demo video (2-5 minutes) showcasing your app’s functionality and explaining why it should win. Use tools like OBS, QuickTime, or Loom.
- Upload the video as an unlisted YouTube video (or TikTok/Instagram if preferred) and add the link to your project’s README.md.
- Finalize the submission on Github, and then provide all the links and submit it via BlockseBlock page (BlockseBlock: Win Hackathons & Build Next-Gen Projects)**
Step 8: Judging and Winning
- Judges will review submissions based on innovation, technical quality, user experience, and impact.
- Ensure your submission meets all requirements to avoid disqualification.
- Winners will be announced on Discord, Hack Node Page, and Social Media channels on 15th August, 2025.
